A Scientific Wonder

"Every day is a journey, and the
journey itself is home."

~ Matsuo Basho

Education is important to us at the Watkins home.  In order to install a love of learning in our children we have elected to educate our children at home.  Below are a few of the blogs we maintain as part of our educational journey.

An Artful Journey is our distance learning resource where home-educated students, or anyone else for that matter, can learn through a picture a day about art history, genre, artists and their works, and much more.

Kids in the Kitchen is about  Savoring Life One Dish at a Time.

We are three kids (ages 7, 12, and 15) who are learning to cook from mom - the head chef. Join us as we share the cooking lessons we take part in, the recipes we try, and what we learn about nutrition, cooking terms, and menu planning. We'll review recipe books, restaurants, and individual recipes. Mom will share lesson plans on cooking as well.
